Biogas has advanced from being an environment friendly alternative to becoming the foremost fuel in which the environment, supply assurance and economy coexist in harmony. Sales of biogas for vehicles (cars, trucks and buses) have increased dramatically during the last ten years. And is still increasing.

There is continous investments in biogas filling stations, production and distribution. Svensk Biogas has established biogas filling stations in the towns of Linköping, Norrköping, Nyköping, Katrineholm, Örebro, Motala and Mjölby. Svensk Biogas has two big production plants, one in Linköping and one in Norrköping. Apart from producing biogas for vehicle use, the plants also produce bio manure. Spreading bio manure on agricultural land means an ecological cycle that makes use of nutrients from the incoming materials. This in turn reduces the use of artificial fertilizer.
